Video Content Ideas For Plastic Surgeons SEO

Video builds trust and credibility with your audience. They see you more as an educator and a thought leader rather than a salesperson. Transparency and trust is huge to you online audience. There is absolutely no better way to be able to do this rather than with video. Many plastic surgeons struggle when it comes to creating content for their online videos and especially when it comes to making something interesting that people would want to share and consume. Today I want to shoot this quick little video to give you some content ideas for your own video marketing strategies. You guys have so much gold in your head, it’s just a matter of knowing what people find interesting and making it relevant to what the services are that you offer and then putting that on video.

Some of the key things I’d like to highlight are number one, technology. Technology has changed so much it’s fascinating how far we’ve come in such a short period of time. Talking about some of the latest advances in technology can be really interesting and entertaining. Those are the types of things that people are more likely to share.

Infographics are a great source of information. Infographics tend to hold the key statistics that everyone wants to know. What I am going to do is I’ll put a link for you down below where you can click on to go and see plastic surgery infographics. You can find ones that are relevant to your practice, and you may want to just break down the key statistics within some of those infographics.

Breaking news, there tends to be a lot of breaking news going on in relation to plastic surgery, mainly it’s around celebrities and who’s had plastic surgery, who hasn’t had plastic surgery, etc. So, a lot of these are going to be found just by watching some of the evening shows such as Extra, Entertainment TV. They tend to pretty much always have some sort of lifestyle or plastic surgery update, so watch what goes on on there, and then you can simply do your own interpretation and video commenting on what they are talking about.

If you go to a site such as realself.com, you can pretty quickly find out what are the trending topics based on your particular niche of plastic surgery. It’s very simple to just read what people are asking, and then go ahead and do some video posts answering a lot of these questions.
That’s going to make your content very relevant to what people are looking for today.

Beauty tips, as a plastic surgeon your job is to make people look beautiful, not always just with a scalpel, but there’s a lot of other tips I am sure you can give people without having to go under the knife that they would appreciate, and when they do need to go under the knife, or they do want to take some sort of non-surgical approach that they end up coming back to you.

Lists are a fantastic way to create content. People love top five lists or top ten lists. These videos that you are going to be creating, we want to keep them to around three minutes. People tend to watch videos that are three minutes or less. Five minutes or more, that’s much, much harder to retain the audience. So, a top five list is perfect for the sort of three minute video.

Conference summaries, as plastic surgeons, I know you tend to go to a lot of different conferences. Sometimes within the United States, sometimes worldwide, and within those conferences there is a ton of education that you are soaking in; a lot of talk around new technologies and amazing things that are happening in your space. So this is a perfect opportunity for you to take notes and then come back and do a quick video summary of the latest conference you just went to. This will show your audience that you’re staying on top of what’s going on in your industry, and that you are cutting edge, and that you are looking into everything, and you’re not just stuck in your ways and you’re not old school. You know, be cutting edge. People love that and they all love the fact that you are being transparent, and you are sharing everything with them. Don’t try and make these videos perfect. People like the fact that you’re being transparent, that it’s not a big production, and that you’re actually just sharing with them and being genuine.

So hopefully some of these tips have helped you. If you need any more help, feel free to reach out to me. I’d love to talk about your marketing strategies, doing video and just sticking them on your website is not good enough. It’s the way you put the video that counts and how you syndicate your content, so getting the video done is very, very important, but syndicating is just as important, so make sure you check both those boxes, and you’ll be on your way to some very successful SEO results.

Plastic Surgeon SEO News Update 2013

Aaron Franklin here with a quick SEO news update. I am an SEO & Internet Marketing specialist working almost exclusively with Plastic Surgeons.

So I just got done with listening to an interview with Matt Cutts, the head of spam control at Google. He says 2013 there’s going to be some major updates to the Panda and Penguin algorithms. These specifically go after websites that have duplicate content, that have keyword stuffing, or that are buying links, or they are placing content on content farms to try and get links back, basically trying to manipulate the system.

So a lot of these things are going to get websites dumped from the Google search results. I put this video together just to warn people, especially plastic surgeons out there who may be working with the SEO firms who are buying links or creating content for them, to be very, very careful; 2013 Google is upping the ante and getting more aggressive with their Panda and Penguin updates. Those are specifically designed to sniff out duplicate content or content nobody cares about.
If you’ve got an SEO firm creating content for you, there’s a good chance they may be copying it from other people’s site and just changing it up a little bit and they’re doing it for SEO purposes in mind which was a strategy that used to work but with these new updates is highly risky and it’s only a matter of time before it catches up with you. Google is very very smart, if you’re SEO company is doing anything slightly shady (grey hat or black hat) it’s going to bite you in the ass at some stage.

Google Panda update will consider your content duplicate or low quality thus dragging down your whole sites credibility. Also if they’re buying links or paying to get that content put onto other sites to create links back faster to get you quick results this is also a very dangerous strategy. That’s also going to get you into trouble and could eventually get you blacklisted by Google, so be very, very careful as you’re creating fresh content.
You should be working with an SEO team to get your OWN unique content syndicated smartly. This is the best long-term SEO strategy, so make sure you’re being reputable.

As plastic surgeons, you can’t afford to pay someone a bunch of money, do this for years, and eventually have it all go away overnight. You want to be building up your foundation and keep getting better, better and better, and stronger, stronger, stronger, which can very easily be done if you have the right strategy, so be very careful with what type of SEO strategy you are using, and who you are employing to execute on your work.

If you’re not sure, I’d love to talk to you. Feel free to hit me up, send me an email, kiwi@seokiwi.com, or you can find my phone number up there on the top of the site, and just call me. I’m happy to give you my advice for free if you are a plastic surgeon, and you’re struggling with your SEO, or you just have questions and you need some help.

Hi! Aaron Franklin here, Plastic Surgeon SEO and Internet Marketing Specialist.
I want to talk to you a little bit about outsourcing your SEO and your Internet marketing for your plastic surgery business.

Some of the key mistakes I see a lot of plastic surgeons make are that they outsource absolutely everything to their SEO and marketing companies.

The biggest problem with outsourcing everything is the things that matter the most today in Google’s mind, and Google is the 800 pound gorilla here. Google is where you’re going to attract and most of your customers are going to find you. It’s not the only place, but it is probably the most important place, so Google wants to see fresh content on a regular basis, so for an SEO company or an outsource company to come up with that, it’s hard for them to put any quality into that and to create anything that people are really going to want to read or share. Most of the time they are just going to regurgitate or copy what someone else has already done.

Another thing SEO companies will do a lot of times which has worked very well in the past is just purchase and get links back from other sites pointing to yours. This is something that did work. I have done it in the past. It worked really well, but it’s something Google frowns upon, and they are quickly starting to shut down. It’s a really poor long-term strategy.
A much better strategy for outsourcing and working with the SEO and marketing team is you create the content yourself. It doesn’t have to be an expensive, elaborate production or something that takes a lot of time.

My recommendation is do short videos, two to three minutes, just talking about relevant topics today that are related to the practices or the procedures that you offer in your practice. Then get your marketing team or your SEO team to take that content, cut it up into pieces. So, for example, strip the audio out. Put the audio into podcasts. Get the video transcribed into text. Get the text rewritten and put into blogs, and get a press release made out of this. Get a custom image made for the post. Have this stuff syndicated, put it on YouTube, put in on Vimeo. Get the image in the video. Put it on Pinterest. Create a very dynamic blog post so you’ve actually got the video. You’ve got the text. You’ve got the image, and you’ve got the audio, so that every single way people consume content you’ve got available for them, and then go ahead and post that onto Facebook, have them posted onto Twitter.

This way, you’re going to create the links, back to you naturally from content you’ve created that you know is original. Result = You’re going to create all these very powerful links back from the most popular sites that are out there today, and it’s going to send Google all the right signals so that they build up trust, and it pushes you up in the search results.

This is by far the best strategy for you to get links back, it’s natural, it’s ethical and Google loves it.

If your SEO company is getting links back without your help, then that should be a big, red flag to you because they are probably doing it in a very what we call “grey hat,” or, “black hat” way which eventually shut down and isn’t going to help you in the long run.

Get Professional SEO Help Now and take your Internet Marketing to the next level, Call Aaron @ 323-377-0979.

Aaron Franklin here, as an Internet marketer who’s worked almost exclusively with plastic surgeons over the last three years, I wanted to share with you some of the things that have worked the best for my clients.

Number One: Video.

Transparency and trust are absolutely huge in your industry. There’s no better format than video to prove this point.

Stand out from the crowd. Be seen as a thought leader and as an expert in your field. Keep the videos short, two to three minutes at most. Video requires people to have 100% focus, 100% of the time. So you want to make sure the content is in short, digestible chunks. Anything longer than three minutes, and you tend to lose people.

Video doesn’t have to be expensive. It doesn’t have to a big, elaborate production. My favorite saying when it comes to video is, “Done is better than perfect.” You can simply set up a basic Flip cam you can buy it from Best Buy, any retail store for $100, put it on a tripod, push play, talk to 5-10 minutes, send it to your editor, they can cut it down, condense it to two to three minutes, and you’ll have a perfect little presentation.

Number Two: Spread your content around.

It still amazes me how many people I see who write a blog post and just stick it on their blog or they’ll do a video and they may stick it on their website and host it on YouTube and they leave it at that. It’s amazing to me that that’s all that they do. There are so many social media platforms out there which have millions and millions of people on that you can simply place your content which will provide two things.

It will provide real people looking back to you but as well as links coming back to you from some of the most popular sites on the Internet. That helps with the SEO for Plastic Surgeons. More powerful links coming back, the more Google trusts you, the more you rise in the search engines.

Number Three: Don’t outsource your content creation.

Create the content yourself, even if it’s only a two to three minute video, create that, then outsource everything else. Okay? If you outsource your content, people will notice. They will notice that you don’t care, and no one is going to read it. No one is going to care because it’s going to be regurgitated crap that other people have already written.

Do your own content. Just make short, digestible chunks of content then repurpose them all over the web and have a team that does this for you. You know, the new currency for Internet marketing is care. So show that you care. Don’t outsource absolutely everything. You’ve got to hustle a little bit in this new, modern age of the Internet and social media, but those that hustle, those who create their own content and can do it on a regular basis, and are able to distribute it smartly to all the right places will do very, very well when it comes to ranking in Google, bringing in new leads, and actually having those leads trust you and want to work with you because they can see that you have taken the effort, and they know what you’re talking about.

Number Four: I like to call this the three E’s … Educate, Entertain, and Engage.

Okay, you’ll notice the one that’s not there that most people are doing is selling. Selling doesn’t work anymore. You can’t just put an ad in the Yellow Pages or broadcast a message out and have people flock to you like they used to be able to do. You got to hustle a little bit, but it takes strategy. If you all you think about when you are producing content is educating, entertaining, and engaging, you are going to do very, very well.

Number Five: Make sure you track the leads that your site is generating.

You have to track the phone calls. That’s where roughly 75% of your leads will come from. Track the phone calls. Track the people coming through your form. Make sure you’ve got some sort of anti-spam filter on the form so you are not counting those. That is 100% the most important statistic you need to keep track of.
Traffic doesn’t mean crap if it’s not converting into a lead which you can’t convert into a client. So make sure you track your leads. If you are starting off with someone new, give them 2-3 months to get up to speed because with SEO it does take a little bit of time, but if you are doing it right, it will snowball. Your leads, your traffic, will start to increase month-over-month.

So, hope that helps, if you are not getting at least 50 leads a month right now, give me a call. I will be happy to give you a free evaluation and give you some tips and advice on some things that could help you out.

Thank you very much.

Source: InfusionSoft, leading email marketing system used by seokiwi.com

Lead generation is all about attracting, capturing and sorting prospects. In turn, you’ll create opportunities for meaningful interaction with those prospects, hopefully leading to an eventual sale.

But leads are not disposable commodities. Today’s leads are tomorrow’s (or next month’s or next year’s) buyers. The goal of lead generation is to create a workable prospect database that you can effectively and efficiently market to over time, even if they don’t buy something on the first go-round.

A study done by the Association of Sales Executives revealed that 81% of all sales happen on or after the fifth contact. Even when people show interest in your product, they usually don’t want a pushy sales call right away. They need time to work through the process. They are the ones who decide when they are ready to buy.

So how do you engage with them until they are ready to buy? The answer is follow-up.

When you focus on follow-up (nurture), you’ve got a productive pipeline that can yield new customers month after month (and year after year) as long as you keep it moving forward.

The Cold, Hard Facts

Here is an incredible stat: According to Focus.com, nurtured leads make 47% larger
purchases than non-nurtured leads. But, according to the same study, fewer than
10% of businesses are using their platform to follow up with prospects after the initial communication.

That’s a whole lot of businesses who are missing out on a whole lot of revenue. We don’t want that to happen to you, so we’ve outlined a few principles that will help you keep your follow-up on track.

Think Like a Marketer, Not a Salesperson

To educate your leads the right way, you’ve got to think like a marketer. Most small businesses think differently; they think like salespeople.

There’s nothing wrong with thinking like a salesperson, and most business owners can find decent success with a sales mentality. But it also means that there will be ups and downs, good months and bad months, easy rent payments and difficult ones. There’s an ever-present stress that comes with a sales mentality, and it can haunt the entrepreneur day and night.

We have to make the shift from hunter (thinking outbound) to harvester (thinking inbound). You’ll enjoy sustainable, long-term success that doesn’t rely on your personal sales skills (even though you are probably pretty darn good at closing a deal).

Understand the Future Value of Your Leads

Effective lead generation means understanding the real value of a lead. This all goes back to the bedrock principle of marketing that says, “People buy when they’re ready to buy, not when you’re ready to sell.”

When you understand this principle, you realize that acquiring new customers is all about timing. And just because a lead is not ready to buy from you today does not mean that person will not buy from you in the future. Today’s leads are tomorrow’s (or next week’s or next month’s) buyers.

The digital revolution has brought about many changes in our lives. While the public appears extremely willing to adopt the latest and latest tech trends, others are less obliging. Especially one as large as the Music Industry. Sales statistics have been changing at an alarming rate as of late, as most people are preferring to only receive digital copies of their favorite music albums, and less interested in lugging around piles of CD’s and figuring where to store them when their music preferences change 5 years later. But as music slowly transitions towards this medium, there are other battles to fight.
